Going through school, Microsoft Word really showed up around middle school for me and persisted through high school. In middle school, I used it for more projects and things like that, but in high school, I used it more to type us assignments and papers. In college, I have used Microsoft Word so much, I'm really glad that I practiced it so much when I was younger. Word is truly a necessary program to have in this day and age. It is so useful and you can use it for many things like newsletters and flyers. 

I feel as if copyright for educational purposes is necessary. However, while these resources should be protected, the author's original work should not be changed without approval, and teachers should have their own digital libraries where they can access any materials they need in order to teach their students. I believe that having an accredited library of materials, gives teachers accurate material, and owners can still control their content. 

Student privacy is a big issue in this digital world we live in. Cyberbullying also plays a role in this as well. Students need their privacy on the internet but they can also face bullying there as well. Younger students love to voice their opinions on social media without facing criticism from their peers. I feel as though students should have their own safe place on the internet where they are free to be themselves, as well as feel safe and comfortable while browsing the web.
